Accredited Level 2 Diploma in English Literature £267.75

Description

The Accredited Level 2 English Literature Diploma will give students an appreciation of how writers use form, structure and language to achieve particular effects and will enhance students’ enjoyment of reading. When studying the course students will examine some works of English literature and analyse the styles and techniques used by the authors.

This course can be used in preparation for progressing to higher level study in relevant English subjects (for example Accredited Level 3 Diplomas) or as a vehicle for career development or to fulfil entry requirements to education courses.

The Accredited Level 2 English Literature Diploma is designed to be accessible for those with limited academic or study backgrounds, but there is a need to be able to read, comprehend and write English competently. Reading and writing are assessed in the internationally recognised forms of Standard English: either British or American standard forms are acceptable in the students’ writing. Spelling must be consistent, whether it follows British or American usage.

The course is a year in length and divided into 2 units of study. At the end of each unit there is an associated TMA (Tutor Marked Assessment) which students are required to complete and submit. The course is formally assessed by an average grade being attained from the 2 submitted Assessments.

Awarding Body: CIE Global
